At the end of this course of study, students are expected to understand:

  • The asset development process, project planning, investment and financing decisions, and real estate asset management.
  • Using local case studies and analytical tools to improve the ability to develop successful real estate projects.
  • Plan a financially feasible development using the real estate development process.
  • Develop a real estate investment strategy, estimate profitability, and choose the best way to raise capital.
  • Structure private equity and debt financing to maximize returns on real estate investment deals.
  • Develop strategic real estate asset management plan to meet or exceed owner goals.
The course includes case studies, alumni discussion and networking, ULI certification, and the opportunity to participate in the Real Estate Case Competition.
