Executive Coach and Lafayette alumna Ana Sanjuan ’93 zoomed in to the Dyer Center to give an interactive presentation on The Power of Mindfulness: Enhancing Focus, Resilience, and Decision-Making.

Drawing on her extensive experience coaching C-level executives and leaders, Ana shared her keen insights on how to quiet the mind to gain clarity and effectively approach the next steps in one’s career and life.

During the workshop, she walked students through practical strategies to help them reframe their problems and make progress. To illustrate her points, Ana guided students through a centered meditation and offered an effective exercise for entering into mindfulness even when circumstances don’t allow for a quiet, separate space.

A central theme of the evening was that many of our challenges are ultimately “inside jobs.” This means our internal habits, patterns, and actions often determine our problems, and they are the very facets through which we have the greatest opportunity to make positive change.

Ana’s powerful summarizing message was clear: “You are your greatest asset; investing in your inner self-development is the key to achieving success.”
