On October 21, a group of Dyer Center students took a step out of the classroom and into the heart of the local startup ecosystem by attending the First Annual Lehigh Valley Entrepreneur Summit. Held at Ben Franklin TechVentures in Bethlehem, the event served as a dynamic gathering ground for over 100 entrepreneurs, support organizations, and innovators from across the region.

For our aspiring student entrepreneurs, the summit was more than just a field trip, it was a crash course in the realities of building a business. Our students had the opportunity to dive deep into critical topics during dedicated sessions on marketing strategies, the art of the pitch, and the complexities of financing a startup. Hearing directly from seasoned experts gave them practical insights that go far beyond textbook theory.

One of the highlights of the day was the chance to network. The summit provided a welcoming environment for our students to rub shoulders with local founders and business leaders. They were able to ask questions, exchange ideas, and hear firsthand accounts of the triumphs and challenges that come with the entrepreneurial journey.

It was inspiring to see our students engage so actively with the Lehigh Valley business community. Events like these remind us that entrepreneurship is a team sport, and we are lucky to have such a vibrant ecosystem right in our backyard.
