What does “Build Knowledge” mean at the Dyer Center?

“Build Knowledge” refers to how the Dyer Center helps students deepen their understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship through both classroom learning and hands-on experiences. It’s about developing the skills to think critically, connect ideas across disciplines, and turn insight into action.

What kinds of academic opportunities are available?

Students can take entrepreneurship and innovation–related courses offered through various departments—such as economics, engineering, and art—many of which integrate case studies, project-based learning, and collaboration with real organizations. Faculty partners also teach courses that explore creativity, ethics, and the social impact of innovation. You can find a list of these courses on our website.

Is there an Entrepreneurship minor or major?

Lafayette does not offer a formal major or minor in entrepreneurship. Instead, the Dyer Center works across disciplines to help students integrate entrepreneurial learning into their chosen fields. The goal is to prepare students in any major, from English to engineering, to think creatively, lead confidently, and make meaningful change.
