As a child, I’d spent hours intricately carving cardboard to create innovative models of planes, phones and laptops. The drive to create technology to solve major problems faced by humanity deeply resonates with me – my long-term goal is to create accessible innovation. When I witnessed that poor children in India were unable to attend online classes due to a lack of digital devices, I felt hurt. As an electrical engineer, I wish to innovate to bridge the technological divide between economic classes. To make it accessible, I need to have the mindset of an entrepreneur. This is exactly what the Dyer Centre fosters. Moreover, the DYER fellowship provides innumerable opportunities for one to grow as an individual, be it by forcing you to go beyond your comfort zone or by working on hands-on projects. These activities, along with engaging sessions on topics of great relevance such as investment and property management, are what drew me to this fellowship. My main goal is to be able to absorb as much as I possibly can, since the opportunities provided by this fellowship are limitless.
