I’m grateful to be a DYER Fellow because it gives me the opportunity to approach problems not just by finding solutions, but by figuring out how to make those solutions reach the people who need them.I am deeply interested in both medicine and entrepreneurship. Through my experiences in research, service, and education, I’ve seen that many challenges persist not because solutions don’t exist, but because they are inaccessible, unaffordable, or difficult to implement. Understanding how to overcome those barriers is just as important as developing the solutions themselves.
The DYER Fellowship appeals to me because it brings together students who are curious, ambitious, and driven to create meaningful change. I am excited to learn how entrepreneurial thinking can amplify the impact of science and medicine while collaborating with peers who are equally passionate about solving real-world problems.
